Call Of Duty WWII Blitzkrieg Week 3 Highlights
Ok so I am a couple of days late with this, but a certain other game entering its fourth season has kept me busy. I must say, as much as I love Call Of Duty WWII, it is a real shame that this Blitzkrieg event does not have the same kind of fanfare or love as the last one.
Anyway, the third week of the Blitzkrieg Call Of Duty WWII event is here and I want to share with you guys my thoughts and also try and help you make the most of it this weekend.
The Contracts and Orders are pretty straightforward this week. Get 300 kills in Ground War, Complete 150 Matches and get 90 Kills In 50 Minutes. I think even the most casual Call Of Duty player can pull this off in the allotted time and get that Blitzkrieg reward as a result.
The Weekend Warfare is pretty awesome as what is on offer is 3x2XP Triple Feed in HQ 24/7 Playlist. This is running from the 3rd to the 10th of May so you have a lot of time to take advantage of this.
The Nazi Zombies Orders look a bit trickier this week as you need to get 30 medals by completing objectives, so if you are the kind of player who usually leaves specific objectives up to the other players, you may struggle with this. You also need to kill 50 Brenner Zombies, which I think is pretty doable and then you have to kill 500 zombies while using electrical attacks…. This one I know for a fact I am going to struggle with.
Also, we are all working towards that community goal so keep on killing folks! I have enjoyed what Sledgehammer Games have done with the Call Of Duty WWII Blitzkrieg event, but I feel the rise of Fortnite and all the Black Ops IIII leaks have taken a lot of the shine away from good old, WWII!
How To Kick Butt In Gun Game Cod WWII
Gun Game is a huge focus of the third week of the Resistance Event in Call Of Duty WWII. Gun Game is a mode that I have enjoyed for many years and actually, in Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare, I would say that it is the mode that I spent the most time with. I wanted to share a few of the things that have helped me in Gun Game and hopefully, they will help you with this week’s daily and weekly orders.
Keep On Moving: Even if you get a sniper rifle! I know that some people like to lay in wait, kind of like a spider. For me, the best way to get through a game of Gun Game is to keep moving. Just keep on running and never stay in one place too long. Run and gun is the way to go in Gun Game.
Knife As A Last Resort: While sending someone back can be rather amusing. You can bet they will come looking for revenge and do the same to you! I only ever use my knife if it is an extreme last close combat resort type of deal. I know that weekly or daily orders may make you use the knife, however, in general, I find it best to save it for emergencies.
Do Not Look At The Score: I know it is hard to do, but try not to obsess with what gun you are on. It will drive you crazy and when you are not thinking straight, you make mistakes! Gun Game requires you to be “on” and you cannot be on if you are worried that everyone is on the fifth gun and you are still on gun number 3.
Call Of Duty WWII And Other FPS Are Heavily Discounted On Xbox One
I am a big fan of Major Nelsons Blog and today he has posted about some upcoming deals that are taking place on Xbox One. What has caught my interest is that Call Of Duty WWII and Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered are both on this list!
Call Of Duty WWII is on sale for $39, you can probably get it cheaper used, but if you want to buy it digitally this is not a bad saving at all for all the content you get in the game, I feel that 39 bucks is a great deal for Call Of Duty WWII.
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered has also had its price dropped a little bit. I recently saw this for around 30 bucks in my local store so seeing it for $24 is not a bad deal at all. I think the asking price here is great, but I do wonder if there is a chance we might get a double pack when Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is released?
While Call Of Duty appears to be the main event of this current Xbox sale, a couple of other first person shooters are also on special offer. Star Wars Battlefront II is now only $24. I know this game got a ton of bad press and rightfully so, but I freaking love this game. It has a great campaign (if you love Star Wars) multiplayer is great and if you are just jumping in right now all of the BS that we had to deal with when the game first launched has been fixed. I honestly think that for as much content as Battlefront II has that $24 is a freaking steal!
The last first person shooter that is on sale that I want to give you a heads up on is Battlefield 1 Revolution which is $15 so if you love Battlefield this could be something that interests you.
I think this is a great sale and if you have an Xbox One, I highly suggest you check out this sale. While I love Call Of Duty WWII, I think that the real star of this sale (no pun intended here) is Star Wars Battlefront II, I am kind of jealous of the people who get to come into this game now and experience it in its current state, unlike people like me who had to deal with all the garbage when the game launched.
Is Call Of Duty WW2 The Last Of Its Kind?
It may seem a little strange to be talking in a kind of nostalgic tone about a game that is not even a year old, a game that still has a lot of DLC and community events to offer us.
But let’s face it, as much as we have all loved Call Of Duty WW2, we have all had our attention stolen a little bit by Black Ops IIII. Black Ops 4 seems like it could signal the next evolution in the Call Of Duty series where there is no campaign and the focus is all on the multiplayer.
I have talked about this before and if that is the case, Call Of Duty WW2 could very well be the last of this style of Call Of Duty. A game where you have a campaign that if it were released under any other name would be praised by the masses (why people hate on the COD campaigns, I have no idea!) a robust multiplayer that is supported for the whole year after release, a zombies mode that is also heavily story driven and DLC that has a lot of substance to it.
It has been said a million times, but Call Of Duty WW2 really is the complete package when it comes to first person shooters. While it may be “cool” to hate on the series. Those of us who play and enjoy it realize how hard the folks at Sledgehammer, Treyarch, and Infinity Ward work, especially given the tight deadline each studio has.
While I am of course looking forward to what Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 offers. I think it is a damn shame that there is talk of it cutting out the campaign and putting in a Battle Royale mode in its place. I may be greedy here, but why can we not have both?
Call Of Duty WWII Operation Husky Tips
Today I thought I would share with you guys my tips on the latest War Mode Map, Operation Husky which was added as part of the 2nd DLC pack, War Machine.
Now these are strategies that I actually use in the game and they have served me pretty well, so give them a try if you are having a hard time with Operation Husky in Call Of Duty WWII.
Use Your Molotov Cocktails Wisely
When you are playing as the Allies, you have a few Molotov cocktails that you can use. The first part of the mission where you have to get the intelligence from the Axis can be tough. But if you use the Molotov cocktails that you have wisely, it can really make things easier. I find that a coordinated attack where you really blitz the enemy right at the point where you can get the intelligence is the way to go. They can be overwhelmed by the cocktails and the other players can swoop in and clean up the rest and complete the objective. For the other side, I would recommend trying as best you can to stand your ground and do not let them group up to overwhelm you.
Work As A Team To Take Over The Radio Station
When you have to take over the radio station, I find that working as a team and having an attack that you are all apart of is the way to go. You can actually end this really quickly if you guys are efficient. So far out of all the War Mode maps, I would say that if you have a good squad, this is the easiest objective and that goes for both the Allies and the Axis!
Dogfight Or Dogflight?
Full disclosure here, I suck at flying games and 9/10 flying sections in games. Call Of Duty WWII is not too tough to get to grips with, but this is the section in Operation Husky that I do struggle in. No matter if I am clearing a path or if I have to take the enemy down. What I try to do is just do my part. If you have players on your team who are actually skilled in this section of the game, play a support role to them. That way you are assisting your team, without being a hindrance as you try to win the war all by yourself!
Of course, many people have their own tips, tricks, and methods for kicking butt in War Mode in Call Of Duty WWII, but these are some ways that I have managed to not just have fun, but also do very well.
