What Made Call Of Duty WWII The Best Selling Game Of 2017?

Well as we are bringing 2017 to a close the numbers are in and it has been revealed that so the bestselling game of 2017 is none other than Call Of Duty WWII. Activision has had a monster of a hit on their hands with this and they will be pleased as while it sold better than most other games, 2016’s Infinite Warfare clearly did not sell as many copies as they would have liked.
It was like Activision and of course, the team at Sledgehammer Games who actually made the game did everything right with Call Of Duty WWII. Right from that first trailer they revealed, Call Of Duty WWII is a game that got many people excited. Longtime Call Of Duty fans were excited that they were going back to World War II. Fans who felt the series lost its way with the more futuristic games were excited and even those who had never been into the series had to be sucked in by all the positive hype and those very well made trailers.
We would go as far to say that the work Sledgehammer Games did on Call Of Duty WWII is some of their best work yet and that Call Of Duty WWII is well deserving of all the praise and sales it is getting. It is very easy to say that going back to WWII is the sole reason for the game’s success, but we feel that word of mouth is what has really driven the sales of Call Of Duty WWII. Think about it, have you actually heard anyone say a bad word about this game?
For the most part, people who have played it have said it is a ton of fun and this seems to have gotten many more people excited about the game and willing to give it a shot. No matter what, 2018’s Call Of Duty game has some big shoes to fill!

Why Call Of Duty Went Back To World War Two

As you no doubt know, here at Mods “R” Us, we have really fallen in love with Sledgehammer Games latest offering in the COD franchise, Call Of Duty WWII. Not only have we had a great time with the game, but sales figures and critical response has been far greater than what Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare achieved this time last year.
While we love playing the game, we have also really enjoyed finding more out about it and recently during the Call Of Duty World League Event, one of the co-founders of Sledgehammer Games, Michael Condry offered some insight as to why for this game, Call Of Duty went back to WWII.
Surprisingly it was not because people were getting sick of the “futuristic” Call Of Duty games like so many people seem to think. We can say this as Call Of Duty WWII has been in development for around three years, so before the whole jet packs and wall running thing started to get a bit old in the Call Of Duty franchise. The actual reason that they went back to WWII for Call Of Duty WWII was all about the story. They felt that this time period offered real tales of heroism and tragedy and wanted to tell a story that had both of those things. Plus there had not been what they felt was a really great game based on World War II in quite some time.
It is easy to point and say that Activision made Sledgehammer go back to WWII because of the disappointing sales and reception of Infinite Warfare. But Call Of Duty WWII was long in development before that happened, so we take Sledgehammer at their word when they say the decision was all about creating and engaging story. We think that Call Of Duty WWII is one of the best games in the series in years and love to hear the story behind how it came to be

Call Of Duty World war II seems like a good idea after a bunch of issues the series has necessary for ages now a breath of clean air. It’s ironic that it appears to be coming within the kind of a video game that’s going lower back to the sequence’ roots, but it basically feels like WWII may be the sort of game that really tries new things and takes the series to places it hasn’t been earlier than, or areas it hasn’t been for a long time.

One of how it may be doing that’s with the conflict Mode, which has caught the consideration of a couple of people with its idea, in that it may be a series of set piece moments in place of a full-fledged epic that indicates the frenzy-and-pull conflicts all through the 2d World conflict.

Call Of Duty world war II creates the definitive World conflict II next era experience throughout three distinct video game modes: crusade, Multiplayer, and Co-Operative. The campaign transports avid gamers to the consoles as they interact in an all-new name of duty epic set in iconic World warfare II battles.

Call Of Duty WWII Should Download Fast

Our Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC controllers are really excited about getting in your hands so they can help you take down the bad guys and the zombies! More and more information is coming out about the game before its November release and recently, the size of the game on Xbox One has been revealed.

The Xbox One and PS4 have been heavily criticized for their hard drive size with most people having to add a lot of additional storage. Thankfully Call Of Duty WWII is coming in at 45 GB on Xbox One. It is safe to assume that the PlayStation 4 version will be roughly the same. Of course, this does not count the inevitable day one patch that is bound to be at least a few GB. But still a triple A title coming in at under 50 GB was great to see.

But while this at first seems great. As we mentioned there is bound to be a day one update and some people have theorized that the download which will come day one may actually have all of the DLC maps and so on and only the campaign will actually be on the disc. We are not sure we agree with this, but most huge games these days do ship with some of the content having to be downloaded.

To be fair it is hard to be harsh on Activision for this as it is common practice, but this news along with the new trailer for Call Of Duty WWII does make the fact that the game is coming seem far more real.
