Infinity Ward would once again helm development of the game. It would take two years for a sequel to be released, but most people agree that the extra year was worth it. Call Of Duty 2 expanded on the first game in every way you can imagine.

The main criticism of the first game was that the campaign was too short. Well, this campaign featured a story that that saw you play as a soldier in the Red Army, US Army and two from the British Army. The campaign was diced up into three different stories and in total there were 27 different action packed missions.

A huge part of what made the campaign so great was the presentation. The graphics were just incredible and at the time it really did feel like you were playing a role in a World War 2 movie.

The multiplayer aspect of Call Of Duty was huge and in the early days of the Xbox 360, it was one of the most popular games. Speaking of which, Call Of Duty 2 was actually a launch game for the Xbox 360. To say it was a huge success is a major understatement as it sold over a quarter of a million copies in its first week on sale. It was a huge reason as to why the Xbox 360 was so successful at launch.

Call Of Duty 2 was and still is a fantastic game. Infinity Ward really outdid themselves on the campaign and the multiplayer was really starting to take shape. xProductBrowser(“categoriesPerRow=3″,”views=grid(20,3) list(60) table(60)”,”categoryView=grid”,”searchView=list”,”id=my-store-1145491″);
